Creeper explosions, especially during a bloodmoon often destroy floating items. (such as all your gear etc.) You are not alone in losing all your best stuff to those jerks. Fingerz rank comes with scavenger that keeps your gear on you after death, but otherwise you just have to start over on your arms and armament. Sorry for your loss. -space
