I wanted to make sure before I went and made a large strip(branch) mine, because as it is for me now normal caving is a little too dangerous. I have seen many people banned for x-ray and I want to make sure that I am not mistaken for just cleverly x-raying through the use of strip mining or anything, since I use this method here:

Not to just find diamonds obviously..

We have methods that can detect xray quite well. If you are mining legitimately you have nothing to worry about. Strip mining is just fine. Little boring maybe :p But fine. (tbh I strip mine too, however I go back and make the strips a bit wider, and make them pretty using jack-o-lanterns for a light source. Makes it much nicer!)
